Simulations and modeling will be employed to guide the experimental work as well as exploring new potential and properties from emerging materials.

The need for extraordinary accuracy in predictive modeling of the behavior of materials is rapidly gained prominence in fields such as electronic materials, where combinations of dissimilar materials generate defect mediated failures at the angstrom level.

This theme aims to develop a leading group of researchers, based in academia, in modeling and simulation of materials.
