Objectives and Importance of CEAMR
 
1- To develop core competences in advanced materials to offer a powerful technology platform that could lead to a wide spectrum of innovative products
 
2- To promote research for certain targeted materials and technologies.
 
3- To promote partnerships between scholars, researchers, community needs,
 
4- To provide an environment to seek innovative solutions.
 
5- To develop a community of resourceful individuals.
 
6- To disseminate research findings to the University and Saudi Arabia.
 
7- To remain a source of information about materials, processes and technologies.
 
8- To seek opportunities for outreach activities.
 
9- One important goal of CEAMR is to exploit the strength to bring national and international rankings of the Participating departments in the  CoE, and the University’s as a whole, into line with this accomplishment.
 
10- To provide high quality education programs e.g. MSc, PhD, in Material science.
 
11- To sponsor seminars and other educational activities related to the synthesis, fabrication, and processing of advanced materials as well as related devices and applications

12- To establish strategic multidisciplinary body in chemistry, physics, engineering, and potentially biology and environmental science to promote faculty collaborations across schools.
